Pay Range is $86.81 to $113.71 / hour
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.

Job Description:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- RN-Registered Nurse of California.
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider.
- ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
- CCRN - Critical Care Registered Nurse.
- OR CCRN-E - Critical Care Registered Nurse (Remote).
- OR CCRN-K - Critical Care Registered Nurse (Knowledge).
- OR AACN-Acute and Critical Care Nursing
- NIHSS-NIH Stroke Scale.
- 5 years of recent relevant experience.
- Demonstrates expert level critical care knowledge, critical thinking, and sound nursing judgment.
- Must demonstrate understanding of patients’ pathophysiology and rationale of special needs and common problems associated with physiological, psychosocial, safety, learning, rehabilitative, spiritual/cultural and self-care issues.
- Requires demonstrated knowledge of legal policies relating to patient decisions and outcomes, medical terminology, current critical-care practice trends and initiatives.
- Must exhibit proficiency and knowledge of technical functions required to safely carry out patient care activities involving equipment, medication administration, IV management administration of blood/blood products, and infection control prevention and/or treatment.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements (DHS-Title 22, JCAHO, CMA, Nursing Practice Act) is required.
- Requires the ability to independently practice and prioritize demands in an ever-changing, dynamic environment.
- Must demonstrate understanding of pathophysiology and rationale of special needs and common problems associated with physiological, psychosocial, safety, learning, rehabilitative, spiritual/cultural and self-care issues.
- Must be proficient in hemodynamic lines, mechanical ventilation, inter-cranial pressure (ICP) monitoring, general anesthesia, IV infusion titration, and monitoring and assessing patients requiring sedation.
- Must have demonstrated critical thinking skills, effective English written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency with windows-based computer operations.
- Must also demonstrate skills in delegation, leadership, and team management.
